Master Steve Melton (owner)

Steve Melton is an 8th Dan (degree) black belt in Tae Kwon Do and the Chief Instructor at Lone Eagle Martial Arts. He has over 45 years of martial arts expertise. While a young martial artist, Steve was a championship fighter and was featured in Black Belt Magazine. Steve was also the Defensive Tactics instructor for the Garland Police Department, which led him into a career with the Garland Police. While there Steve was a member of the Tactical Bureau and Narcotics Division. Steve went on to become a CPA, and is still in practice today. In 1971, Sensei Steve received his black belt from Dai Sensei P.D. Hale, who is the founder of the Texas National Tae Kwon Do Federation and an inductee in the United States Championships Walk of Fame.  Steve Melton is a 2015 Inductee into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Sensei Wes Melton (owner)

Wes Melton is a 3rd Dan (degree) black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Wes received his 1st Dan black belt from Master Herb Hooks and Black Belt Hall of Famer Joy Turberville in 2009. Wes then received his 2nd Dan black belt in 2011 and 3rd Dan black belt in 2014. Sensei Wes is also a 3rd Dan black belt in ISS-Hogai Jujitsu, which he received from martial arts hall of famer Duane Ethington. Sensei Wes holds rank in Aikido and continually trains in several different styles of martial arts including: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Krav Maga and Judo. Wes is a former police officer serving as a member of a Felony Fugitive Apprehension Team, assisting the Gang Unit, the FBI Gang Task Force and Homeland Security.Sensei Wes resigned from the police department to teach at Lone Eagle Martial Arts full time. He prides himself on insuring each child develops important life skills and character traits each class in addition to practical self defense,  Sensei Wes has competed and won several different tournaments in his martial arts career in sparring and kata in the expert levels. Wes' proudest life achievement is being married to his beautiful wife and having three loving and wonderful children.

Sensei Stephanie Melton (Owner)

Stephanie started her martial arts journey in 2009 as a Lone Eagle Martial Arts student. Under the instruction of Masters Steve Melton and Herb Hooks, Stephanie quickly advanced through the ranks and was awarded her 1st Dan black belt in 2012. Stephanie is an award winning Kata and Sparring expert, and enjoys high energy workouts which include circuit training and cardio. As a woman in martial arts, Stephanie enjoys the feeling and confidence of being able to defend herself, and in return, teaches others to do the same. Stephanie leads by example by promoting positive ideals and principles which allow students, especially children to flourish under her teachings. In July of 2014 Stephanie was awarded her 2nd Dan black belt . Stephanie takes pride in promoting self-improvement, not only in martial arts but also in everyday life. Stephanie has two beautiful children, one of which is also a student at Lone Eagle Martial Arts, and is happily married. Stephanie is dedicated to building leaders and has proven to be an essential asset at Lone Eagle Martial Arts.

Sensei Whitt Melton (owner)

Whitt Melton is a 3rd Dan (degree) black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Whitt received his 1st Dan black belt from Master Herb Hooks and Black Belt Hall of Famer Joy Turberville in 2009. Whitt then received his 2nd Dan black belt in 2011 and 3rd Dan black belt in 2014. Sensei Whitt is also a 3rd Dan black belt in ISS-Hogai Jujitsu, which he received from martial arts hall of famer Duane Ethington. Whitt was a competitive boxer in college as well as a powerlifter and football player. Whitt also holds rank in Aikido and has trained in many styles of martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, MMA, Muay Thai and Boxing. Whitt is a police officer and is on a Felony Fugitive Apprehension Team. Whitt is also a motivational speaker and has done many school assemblies in the area, discussing topics such as: Anti-bullying, Achieving your Dreams and many more! Whitt is a specialist in self-defense techniques and enjoys helping students gain confidence and to be more prepared to prevent and to thwart possible confrontations

Melissa "Mel" Huber 

Ms. Melissa "Mel' Huber started her martial arts career at Lone Eagle Martial Arts, so far earning the rank of Brown Belt. Mel is the Program Director of Lone Eagle's After School Program, Camp Program and Evening Martial Arts. Ms. Mel is a parent of two other students of Lone Eagle and  married to another one! Ms. Mel believes and displays that a family that kicks together sticks together! Mel has a true passion to insure that each child reaches their goals and dreams starting with a black belt attitude and spirit! She knows the journey to black belt better than most as she is still actively in it. Ms. Mel takes pride in each child of Lone Eagle as they develop their character traits and life skills through Lone Eagles Curriculum.
